Online Farmers Market for Dogs
One of my most favorite things to do is go to a farmers’ market. The fresh vegetables, fresh baked goods, beautiful fresh flowers and all of the amazing scents make me want to stay for hours. The only thing I always found missing was organic, fresh treats for my dogs. With that said, imagine my delight when I discovered Kanine Capital, an online farmers market for dogs that sell high quality, organic, luxurious treats sourced from small North American vendors!
About Kanine Capital
I sat down for coffee with the owner of Kanine Capital and her partner and official taste-tester Cali (with the amazing ears) to find out more about this wonderful online business. She told me that the company was inspired by her love of going to the farmers’ market and wanting to find small vendors with amazing product and make it more available in one place. By creating their site they can offer luxurious treats made with all organic ingredients from a New York farm AND fish skins (which my dogs absolutely LOVE) made in the Pacific Northwest. Most of their vendors they find through recommendations of others and social media.
One of the great things about shopping here is the ability to find an assortment of treats from various boutique companies. You can find treats based on ingredients, dietary needs and brands. They also have Packages specifically for Puppies, Seniors, Smelly Breath, Gluten-free and the Ultimate TreatDogSelf. I personally love that you can buy different brands at the same time and know that everything I am purchasing is organic and personally vetted by Cali without leaving my house. I also like the quick delivery (usually within 1-2 days).
The Ordering Process
The vision for the business is to offer the highest quality treats made by the most passionate dog companies in the country. As their vendor list grows, they want to create a zip locator which will allow you to find the vendors closest to you so you can visit the store directly if you want. Down the line they may expand into other products, but only with other small North American vendors. Right now they only ship to the US, but would love to expand into Canada soon.
I love the concept and so far I haven’t found a treat that my dogs didn’t love.
