Arizona Blue Rooster Farmer’s Market

Stopping on the side of the road in Peoria, Arizona with my girlfriend, I couldn’t wait to get out and finally visit the Arizona Blue Rooster Farmer’s Market. I had heard about it from Teresa and couldn’t wait to see for myself. Now I know that said this was a ‘local’ business and it is local to Peoria, Arizona residents, but I really love supporting small business and this one is run by the whole family. Plus I just loved the vibe and the produce. It actually gave me some ideas for my own space when we move to Bend, Oregon. Which is actually the original reason that my girlfriend brought me here.

Anyway, don’t you think it looks like a cool place to hang out?

Fresh limes and lemons

Red and Green Bell Peppers

Basil Plant

Out back, they have this really cute coffee bar and hot cocoa area. The seating area is surrounded by these lush trees and there are little tables and chairs all over the area. It would be a great place to relax and maybe eat some of the yummy produce you just bought.  I thought this was a great addition.

The Blue Rooster Farmers Market

If you are in the Peoria, Arizona area please be sure and look these guys up. I brought home fresh peppers, eggs, lemons, and grapefruit.  They also have fresh honey and jams that I was really tempted to buy too. They are open Friday and Saturday and located at 23621 N 91st Ave, Peoria, Arizona. The name alone would make me visit.

Be sure and let me know if you stop by.

See you on the trail,

xx Mary + the Sage Hounds

  • Great review for a wonderful small business. I love their organic grapefruit. But here’s a tip. If you want to buy some of their farm fresh eggs, get there early. These are a favorite and always sell out.
